'Hostage stand-off' at Raffles Place
It was a scene right off a movie at Raffles Place this afternoon (April 17), as security officers stands off against hostage-takers near Chevron House.STOMPer IoN_RuSh, who took photos and a video of the scene, said:"I was there at raffles place today near Chevron House at around 1.45pm when I heard this commotion going on in the middle of the square."I saw what looked like a group of security officers posing on the lawn."People were just stopping to stare and totally jamming up the whole place!"Seems like they were promoting a new movie or show called 'Flashpoint' or something, at least that was what was written on the banner."Indeed, it turned out to be a publicity stunt for a new police drama called Flashpoint, about a team of elite cops that handle calls ordinary police officers cannot.The drama features a SWAT team highly trained in psychology, specialising in state-of-the-art weaponry, sniper rifles, snake-cameras, and robotics along with expert negotiating tactics to deal with hostage-takers.The STOMPer added:"Things got a bit more dramatic when suddenly seemingly innocent bystanders got grabbed and held hostage by a couple of thugs!"Then everyone just froze. Load of people took the chance to take some photos, myself included!"You don’t get to see publicity stunts like this in Singapore very often so I thought I’ll share this."We are currently rendering the video. hmm, one of these days, when such things really happens, pple might think it's another gimmick... oops... wrong license issued.

No use do all these acting lah. When the real thing happen, people's mind will go blank and care for themselves 1st.
